Kanto Tactics best teams

Choose a plan your shop and economy can support. A finished board is a destination, not an opening hand.

The percentages below are reported by KantoTactics.org against its top 30 boards of the same style. Reroll and level-eight groups use different opponents, so their percentages should not be compared as one universal ladder. Team strips show the source’s evolution forms and star levels.

Collect the Grass and Poison core while building around Kadabra. The source’s finished board uses three-star Venusaur, Electrode and Gengar; those upgrades are part of the result, so a partial board should not be treated as equivalent.

Use Water units to connect your front line and damage dealers. The listed finished board targets three-star Blastoise, Golduck and Vaporeon. Keep enough protection for Vaporeon to cast repeatedly.

Build toward level eight and a Starmie carry. The source uses two-star units and stacks five Psychic and four Water. This is a leveling plan: forcing early rerolls for unrelated units can delay the level and upgrades it needs.

A three-cost carry provides an alternative when Starmie copies are scarce. The reported board includes Mew and combines Psychic, Water and Ice; plan around the units you can actually find.

When to reroll and when to level

Reroll when you already hold several copies of the key cheap units and can complete upgrades without emptying your economy. Level when your current board is stable, your cheap units are contested, or the carry you need is a higher-cost shop entry.

Keep a working front line throughout the transition. Replace a useful upgraded tank only when the new piece improves the board immediately or completes a meaningful synergy. Items should support your main source of damage rather than being spread evenly across every unit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use these teams in Adventure?

Their tested figures come from board simulations, not a full campaign run. The same cores can guide your choices, but Adventure opponents, progression and available units change the problem.

Should I force an S-tier team?

Use the ranking to recognize a direction. If your shop offers upgrades for a different core, adapt before spending your economy chasing an exact screenshot.

Do I need every unit shown?

These are finished boards. Use affordable role replacements while leveling and review which synergy or carry upgrade you are trying to preserve.
